Current state-issued identification (driver's license or identification card) and payment
If you have not been a resident of the state of Ohio for the last five years, you must also complete the FBI fingerprinting, detailed below.
The BCI&I will usually complete an Ohio criminal background check within 48 hours. The results will be mailed to the address you give at the time of fingerprinting in approximately one week. This is your only official copy of your results. The IRC does not have access to your results. You can obtain additional official copies for a fee from BCI&I by calling 740-845-2000.

If you have your own FBI card for a job application, immigration, or another specified purpose that requires you get ink fingerprints, we can provide the ink and instruction. Then you take the card with you and mail it to the appropriate place as your potential employer or immigration needs. There is no fee for this process of simply borrowing our fingerprinting ink.
